Top 5 Baby Sleep Tips That Will Help Moms’ To Get More Sleep
At Twinkle, we understand that the first six months of a baby's life can be incredibly overwhelming, especially in the sleep department. It’s never too early to start your baby off on the right foot, begins to establish great sleep habits and finding ways for a sounding sleep for your little buttercups.

Here are some of my top tips for all incredible mamas and papas in those early stages for your little buttercups!
1. Active Daytime!
Most babies are often interested in sleeping all day and keeping their parents up all night. At Twinkle, we understand your level of tiredness to keep your baby entertained, well fed and stress-free. Hence, to help your newborn understand that the nighttime is for sleeping, we as parents can try to keep them awake more during the day. Sing, talk, and play with her after she's fed and changed, so she doesn't immediately go back to sleep.
By doing the above, this will ensure that your little buttercup could sleep through the night soundly with you having the time to take your rest too.
2. More food before bedtime!
At Twinkle, we would advise all incredible mummies and daddies to aim for a slighter more substantial meal at bedtime to help your baby sleep longer before he wakes up hungry. Offer formula-fed babies a few more ounces or if you're breastfeeding, try to nurse a bit longer before you lie baby down for a good rest.
3. Avoid Long and Late Naps
Since young, we had all known that sleeping too much within the day may cause you to have a harder time to put yourself to good sleep at night. Hence, your little buttercups need to be tired at bedtime, which is why it's essential to prevent an extended afternoon nap. Aiming for a longer morning nap and a shorter one in the afternoon to help your baby feel rested during the day but feeling sleepy in the evening.
4. Invest in dark shades or curtains
Keep your baby's room dark at night and during nap times to help to improve the sleeping condition. Even small cracks of light can interrupt the sleep of sensitive infants; blackout shades or curtains would be an affordable way to prevent the sunshine from sneaking in by the window. Be sure to pull them open when it's time to be awake and active!
